Lightning is the suspected cause of a wildfire that grew to about one acre Monday on U.S. Forest Service land in South Routt County. Routt Zone Fire Management Officer Sam Duerksen said the lightning strike occurred Friday night, but it did not develop into a wildfire until Monday when a red flag warning was in place for all of Western Colorado.
