Soroco’s Chance Beatty and Hayden’s Christopher Carrouth race for the finish line at the end of the 1,600-meter run. Chance won that sprint, winning the eighth-grade boys race. Christopher was second overall but easily hung on to take first among sixth-graders Wednesday at a middle school track meet in Hayden.
