Mona Kent: Thank you

Mona Kent

On the morning of Jan. 26, I was involved in a car accident that easily could have taken my life. I have many people to thank from that day, though I’m unable to recall names.

My gratitude goes out to the kind gentleman who stayed with me until help arrived. Many thanks to Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue for my extrication and transport to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

My heartfelt appreciation to the ED physician and my co-workers in the emergency department — I can’t imagine what it was like to see someone you know so well come through the door. I’m also very grateful to the on-call physicians and the rest of the YVMC staff that continued to care for me until I was transferred to Denver.

The prayers, cards, flowers, gifts and well wishes from people on the Steamboat Ski Patrol, at Yampa Valley Regional Airport and many other friends and acquaintances helped me through a very rough time.

You’re all amazing!
