Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:27 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted a person who was rolling on the ground at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue.

5:18 a.m. Officers and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a drunken man suffering from a medical condition in the 700 block of Yampa Street.

9:35 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a man who fell off a roof in the 38700 block of Ridge Lane. Firefighters think the man fell off the roof because of a medical condition, and they do not think he suffered injuries from the fall.

1:59 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of debris on the road near mile marker 128 on U.S. Highway 40.

3 p.m. Officers were called to a report of graffiti on the Yampa River Core Trail near Walton Creek Road.

5:35 p.m. Officers and deputies were called to a report of a car swerving and driving very slowly near mile marker 119 on U.S. 40. The driver was having difficulty breathing, and firefighters were called to help.

9:53 p.m. Officers were called to a report of trespassing in the 1300 block of Mira Vista Court. A resident reported a car blocking his or her driveway. When the resident went to confront the neighbors, they slammed the door in the resident’s face.

11:13 p.m. Officers were called to a report of items missing from a trailer in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza.

Suggestion to staff: Why don't you just use "their" instead of "his or her" -- it just somehow seems less elusive.

No, "his or her" is what the narcs use in a warrant affidavit in order to conceal the ID of the CI.

Well we get lots of "drunken men" in this column, some "he or she" but rarely is the culprit definitely a woman.
