The Steamboat Pilot & Today’s monthly Coffee and a Newspaper, to be held from 7 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, will feature a roundtable discussion of Election Day results. Pilot & Today General Manager Scott Stanford and Editor Brent Boyer will be joined by Routt County Democratic Party chairwoman Catherine Carson and Routt County Republican Party chairman Dave Moloney to discuss local, state and national election results and what they mean for our community and our country. Coffee and a Newspaper is open to all and will include free coffee and breakfast treats courtesy of Mountain Brew. The event is in the Pilot & Today’s community room, 1901 Curve Plaza. Medicare Part D has open enrollment through Dec. 7
Open enrollment for Medicare Part D is through Dec. 7. Medicare beneficiaries are able to change plans during this time. Seniors should review their prescription drug plan and make sure it works with the prescriptions they are taking, said Betsy Packer, Routt County Council on Aging’s counselor and coordinator for the Colorado State Health Insurance Assistance Program.

Nov. 7: 5 to 7 p.m. at Hayden Public Library
Nov. 14: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CMC Bristol Hall
Nov. 28: 5 to 7 p.m. at Hayden Public Library

Local Veterans Day events held throughout November
Steamboat Springs American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts host Veterans Day events throughout November:
■ Veterans Day programs at Steamboat elementary schools will be Wednesday. Those who would like to volunteer and help are asked to call Tony at 970-846-5035, Gaylon at 970-846-9721 or Jim at 970-879-3936.
■ A free Veterans Day dance is at 7 p.m. Saturday at VFW Post No. 4264.
■ Visit veterans from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Monday at the Doak Walker Care Center.
