— The third man wanted in connection with a burglary, aggravated robbery and kidnapping turned himself in to police Friday.

Steamboat Springs Police Department Sgt. John McCartin said Steamboat resident Rylan Laszewski, 20, was booked in to the Routt County Jail early Friday afternoon on suspicion of aggravated robbery, first-degree kidnapping and first-degree burglary.

Police think the 2010 Steamboat Springs High School graduate and two other men broke into a man’s house, threatened him with a knife, kidnapped him and then forcibly took him to a Steamboat Springs bank to withdraw money Wednesday afternoon. According to an affidavit filed with the Routt County Court, the victim told police he owed one of the men $1,000 related to a 8-month-old drug debt.

The victim told police that Laszewski escorted him into the bank and then fled after the victim pulled out a cellphone and called police. Police arrested Bruce S. Lobban, 34, and Jacob M. Humpal, 21, near the bank.

Laszewski’s mug shot was not available Friday afternoon.

Not the brightest of crimes; those poor boys must have just been hungry for more of that great RCSO chow.
