An immunization nurse from Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association will be available to review vaccine records as well as discuss safety, research, resources and recommendations from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Steamboat office, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101. Parents with questions about vaccines for their children or themselves are encouraged to attend. A free book will be provided to children who attend. For more information, call 970-879-1632.
Melanoma presentation is Thursday at the hospital
Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Sandi Eivins will present “Beyond the Basics: 31 Ways in 31 Days to Prevent Melanoma” at noon Thursday in the Yampa Valley Medical Center conference rooms. Registration open for 1st Steamboat Mad Mudder
Steamboat’s first Mad Mudder 5-kilometer run and obstacle course is set for July 7. Presented by NRC Broadcasting and Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp., the race will take place at Steamboat Ski Area and will include a hill climb, sprint race, mud pit and obstacle features such as a climbing wall, balance beam and a tire course. Participants register as individuals but can sign up to run alongside a partner or team. Registration is $55 through today and $65 from Wednesday to June 15.
