Steamboat Springs High School athlete Asher Rohde placed 30th in the 3,200-meter run at the Liberty Bell Invitational track meet Friday, finishing in 10 minutes, 28.57 seconds. The Steamboat senior was in the middle of the elite 52-runner field, but ended up two seconds shy of his season and personal best and was unable to move up the Class 4A 3,200 rankings.
Rohde is currently 39th there, and 18 seconds off the time he’d need to make the top 18 and qualify for next month’s state track meet in Lakewood.
