Midnight Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a stolen bicycle in the first block of Seventh Street.

5:51 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Colorado State Patrol troopers were called to a car versus elk crash at mile marker 122 of U.S. Highway 40. The car sustained minor damage and there were no injuries to any people. The elk was injured and law enforcement put it down.

9:41 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suicide attempt in Steamboat Springs.

12:26 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a missing horse at Routt County roads 52W and 56. The horse was white with blue eyes and a red halter.

2:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a dog at large at Blue Sage and Ridgeview drives.

3:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person at Skyview and Chinook lanes. Police did not locate the person at that time.

3:43 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a car swerving and tailgating at U.S. 40 and C.R. 27. Deputies were unable to find the car.

6:41 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a burglary in Steamboat Springs from the drunken person they didn’t find earlier. He said a safe was stolen, and officers took a report.

7:25 p.m. Deputies were called by a man who said his house was listed for rent online, but it is not for rent.

8:33 p.m. The drunken person who reported the burglary went to a neighbor’s house and made a comment about suicide. He was taken to detox and reported to mental health services.

8:44 p.m. Officers checked on someone who hadn’t shown up to work. Everything was fine.

11:23 p.m. West Routt Fire District firefighters, Hayden Police Department officers and deputies were called to a fight on Jefferson Avenue in Hayden. Hayden police arrested a 37-year-old Hayden man on suspicion of third-degree assault, criminal mischief, second-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. There was damage to a fence, and the arrested party was checked out at the hospital before being taken to jail.
