The Record for April 15

4:21 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a noise complaint in Mountain Village Circle.

11:20 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 700 block of Critter Court. An employee at Steamboat Springs Animal Shelter reported that the driver of a Honda was parking outside of the shelter the last four Sundays. Police made contact with the driver and determined they have been parking there to take a nap, and everything was OK.

12:39 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury car crash in the 100 block of Ninth Street.

12:54 p.m. Officers were called to a report of two people fighting about ownership of a snowboard in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. The argument was settled civilly.

1:52 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a trespass in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. Two skiers who were riding down the closed Heavenly Daze run were cited for skiing in a closed area.

7:11 p.m. Officers, Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Colorado State Patrol troopers were called to a report of a noninjury car crash near mile marker 145 on U.S. Highway 40.

7:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone wearing dark clothing attempting to climb over a wall in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. Officers weren’t able to locate the person.

9:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person at Fish Creek Falls Road and Amethyst Drive.

10:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of bears in the 1500 block of Meadow Lane. A parent told police there were bears lingering outside their house at the same time their child was expected to walk home. An officer arrived and dispersed the bears from the neighborhood.
