Steamboat’s Fletcher leads US Nordic combined team

Bryan Fletcher again led the U.S. Nordic Combined Ski Team on Saturday at a World Cup event in Chaux-Neuve, France, coming from 25th after the jump to finish 21st.

Billy Demong, making his return to the World Cup, was 22nd. Johnny Spillane was 31st, and Todd Lodwick was 34th.

Action continues today in Chaux-Neuve with another large hill event before the World Cup takes a long break for the World Championships, which start in a month. The U.S. team is scheduled to be named this week.
