— Community Foundation accepting grant forms

Yampa Valley Community Foundation's competitive grant forms are being accepted through Sept. 15.

The Community Foundation allocates funds for projects and programs that demonstrate progress toward achieving healthy community goals in the areas of Art and Culture, Education, Environment, Health and Human Services, and Recreation.

Carlisle Style seeking

runway model volunteers

Carlisle Style of Steamboat Springs is looking for runway models to volunteer for the Fashion Show benefiting New Frontiers: for Girls & Women, from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Catamount Lakehouse. The event will feature local women modeling the high-fashion fall designs of The Carlisle Collection of New York.

Models must be sizes 4 to 6 and will receive a $100 gift certificate. To volunteer call: 879-7067.

Cotillion now accepting

registration for fall classes

Steamboat Springs Cotillion is accepting registration for fall classes for fifth- through ninth-grade students.

Participants will learn social etiquette and dancing including waltz, swing, Latin and other styles.

The four sessions culminate in a theme party for fifth and sixth graders and a dinner party for seventh through ninth graders. Classes are held at the Steamboat Grand on Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, 11 and 18, from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. for fifth and sixth grades and 7 to 8:30 p.m. for seventh to ninth grades. Heritage grant fund

applications due Sept. 21

Applications for the Routt County Museum and Heritage Capacity-Building Grant Fund are due Sept. 21 to the Routt County Board of Commissioners Office in the Courthouse Annex.

Qualified projects must relate to historic preservation and must be sponsored and administered by a qualified museum entity within your district.

The approved museum entities are the town of Yampa, the Oak Creek and Phippsburg Historical Society, Tread of Pioneers Museum, Hahn's Peak Historical Society, Historic Routt County and the Hayden Heritage Center.

Applications are evaluated on a set of standardized criteria available through the museum entities and specified in the application packet.
