Cinco de Mayo Festival will be May 6 in Craig

Comunidad Integrada will host Craig's second annual Cinco de Mayo Festival from 12 to 5 p.m. May 6 at the picnic area of the Moffat County Fairgrounds.

Comunidad Integrada's mission is to promote and support integration of immigrant and community members in Moffat and Routt counties.

This festival's goal is to bring together community members from various backgrounds in a fun, family setting while fostering the appreciation of the Mexican culture through art, food, and performance.

Comunidad Integrada is looking for area businesses, youth groups, organizations and individuals who would like to participate in the celebration. Business booths are $100, and nonprofits pay $50.

Adventure Bound day camp registration starts

Registration for the city of Steamboat Springs' Adventure Bound day camp program begins Monday and ends May 12. Registration forms can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Recreation Office, 245 Howelsen Parkway. Camp activity calendars will be released April 28.

Camp programming is for children entering the first through sixth grades. Seventh- and eighth-graders are encouraged to sign up to be counselors in training for the day camp program.

The day camp program costs $27 a day for first- through fourth-graders and $26 a day for fifth- and sixth-graders. The counselors in training program costs $160, and participants must commit to working at least 20 days.

Hayden Lions to hold talent show April 8

The Hayden Lions Club will hold a talent contest at 7 p.m. April 8 in the Hayden High School Auditorium to help celebrate the town of Hayden's 100th birthday.

The competition will include four categories: the adult division; the senior division, for high school students; the junior division, for children in grades six through eight; and the elementary division, for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.

All contestants will receive a Hayden Centennial coin.

he top three contestants in each division will receive a gift certificate.
