¤ New Western Art: A 21st Century Perspective exhibit
When: 5 to 8 p.m. opening reception Saturday, 10 a.m. artists' coffee talk Sunday
Where: Studio Gallery 27 in Ski Time Square
Why you should go: Because the artists have some amazing pieces to show that might change the way you perceive our Western heritage.
¤ The Ditty Bops
When: 7 p.m. doors open, 7:30 p.m. We're Not Clowns Juggling and Comedy Act, 8:15 p.m. The Ditty Bops
Where: Steamboat Mountain Theater, Ski Time Square
Why you should go: Because they biked here all the way from L.A. to perform for you.
¤ Heritage Ranch Tour
When: 12:45 p.m.
Where: Steamboat Rodeo Grounds
Cost: $50 for adults, $10 for children 7 to 12, free for children ages 6 and younger
Why you should go: Because you will get to learn about the rich ranching heritage of Routt County and its residents. You have the opportunity to visit cattle, sheep, horse, bison and elk ranches throughout the county.
¤ Music on the green with Amir String Quartet
When: 12:15 to 1 p.m.
Where: Yampa River Botanic Park
Why you should go: Because it's a perfect site for your lunch break. You will be surrounded by beautiful local flora and wonderful classical music. I just hope your sandwich tastes as good.
