1:21 a.m. A man went to the police department to tell officers that the federal government owed him money.
5:31 a.m. Three Rainbow Family members reportedly were stopping cars in the 1800 block of Kamar Plaza to ask for rides and free coffee. Officers told the men they couldn't hitchhike.
7:35 a.m. Members of the Rainbow Family reportedly were camping in the 100 block of Anglers Drive. They were given a citation for illegal camping.
8:49 a.m. A man reported seeing a man "taking a bath" in the 3400 block of Airport Circle. Officers contacted the man, and he told them that he was just changing his shirt, not bathing.
9:09 a.m. A halogen light reportedly was stolen from a median lamppost on Steamboat Boulevard.
9:13 a.m. Someone reportedly kicked the heads off a number of sprinklers in the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue. A report was taken.
12:12 p.m. A man reported his neighbor building a fence on his property. Officers advised the man.
12:24 p.m. A man wearing gray pants and a white shirt reportedly was drunk and staggering in the 3600 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers contacted the man and gave him a warning.
1:21 p.m. A man reportedly fell on his face in the 3600 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers checked on the man, and he was fine.
1:44 p.m. A 49-year-old Aurora man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to signal on U.S. Highway 40 near the summit of Rabbit Ears Pass.
5:26 p.m. Officers contacted two hitchhikers near Mount Werner Road and Lincoln Avenue and gave them a warning.
6:24 p.m. A man reportedly was carrying a sign and begging for food near Mount Werner Road and Lincoln Avenue. The man was gone when officers arrived.
6:29 p.m. A man reported seeing two suitcases on the side of U.S. 40. The suitcases were gone when officers arrived.
6:55 p.m. A man reported someone stealing his 1979 Ford Escort from a gas station parking lot in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue. The man reportedly stopped for water on his way to Montana and left the keys in the ignition. The car was gone when he came out of the store.
6:58 p.m. A man in the 2900 block of West Acres Drive reported his former landlord "holding his possessions hostage" in exchange for money. Officers advised the man.
7:48 p.m. A 31-year-old man from Buchanan, Mich., was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor aggravated motor vehicle theft on C.R. 129 near mile marker 8. Police said the man reportedly stole the 1979 Ford Escort that was reported missing from a gas station earlier in the day. The man was driving north on C.R. 129.
8:34 p.m. Two people reportedly were arguing on Elk River Road near Copper Frontage. The people were gone when officers arrived.
8:46 p.m. Someone reportedly heard fireworks in the 2900 block of West Acres Drive. Officers were not able to locate the source of the noise.
