7:18 a.m. Officers from the Routt County Sheriff's Office, Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and the Greater Routt and Moffat Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a home in Steamboat Springs. Officers reportedly found several smaller construction tools and "items consistent with the use and manufacture of methamphetamine." The search was the latest recovery of stolen construction equipment in a string of thefts that police say originated in South Routt County. Officers began investigating the thefts months ago and since have made four arrests on charges relating to the theft ring and possible production of methamphetamine.
8:13 a.m. A man reportedly found something in the 200 block of Howelsen Parkway.
1:20 p.m. Officers painted over graffiti on the Yampa River Core Trail.
1:41 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported in the 800 block of Yampa Street.
1:51 p.m. A man reported a suspicious incident in the 2300 block of Ski Time Square Drive.
2:10 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.
5:34 p.m. A bear reportedly broke through a screen door in the 500 block of Steamboat Boulevard and broke into a pantry. The residents found the bear sitting on its haunches eating peanut butter. The bear was gone when officers arrived.
7:28 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury, hit-and-run accident was reported near Eighth Street and Lincoln Avenue.
9:19 p.m. A gas skip was reported in the 300 block of Myers Street in Oak Creek.
