Jumping series continues every Tuesday night

The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club's Tuesday Night Recreational Jumping series is Tuesday nights from 6 to 8 p.m. through March 7. Registration is from 5:30 to 6 p.m. on jumping nights. The cost is $12 a night, and jumpers must have a lift ticket and a helmet. No experience is necessary. Call 879-0695.

College offers free English language classes

Colorado Mountain College offers free English as a Second Language classes for all levels. Classes meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays in Room 302 of Willett Hall, 1330 Bob Adams Drive. To enroll, call Jenny le Roux at 870-4534.

Radio station seeking response from audience

The operators of WWFM 91.1 and 92.7 are looking for feedback from listeners. The station recently shut down its 92.7 translator as officials determine whether transmission from an Emerald Mountain tower is needed to provide coverage to the area. WWFM listeners who are experiencing a loss of reception of the classical music station can call Lynn Abbott at 870-6673.

Basketball league offers a way to learn basics

Registration is under way for the city's youth basketball program. The program is for children in the third through sixth grades and runs from March through May. The program is designed for youths who want to learn more about the fundamentals of basketball in a noncompetitive atmosphere. Get registration forms at the Parks, Open Space and Recreational Services Department office. Call 879-4300 for more information.

Museum open until 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays

The Tread of Pioneers Museum, 800 Oak St., is operating on its high-season schedule. During the high season, the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Building open to public for horseback riding

The Routt County Fair--grounds multipurpose building is open to the public for horseback riding. The cost is $5 for two hours. Days and times vary according to the schedules of the volunteer supervisors.
