A vacancy on the Hayden Town Planning Commission soon may be filled.
On Thursday, the Town Board will consider appointing Amy Williams to a five-year term on the Planning Commission. Williams is the Routt County assessor.
"The alternates were asked, and neither was able to fill a full-time position," Town Manager Russ Martin said.
The position has been advertised for nearly two months, and Williams is the only person who submitted a letter of interest. If appointed, Williams would replace Alicia Tuck, who left the commission before her term ended.
Donna Hellyer, Tom Rog-alski, Chuck Vedepo, Andrea Hayden, Kevin Copeland and Karl Koehler are on the Planning Commission.
Rogalski has declared his intentions to run for one of the three trustee seats up for election on the Town Board. The election is April 4, and if Rogalski wins, there will be a vacancy on the Planning Commission.
The Town Board also will consider:
Appointing Michelle Hoza and Kelly Klosterman to five-year terms as West Routt County Library District trustees. They also could serve on the Hayden Public Library Board of Trustees.
A representative from Bresnan Communications will give a presentation at the meeting. He will address community concerns and will update the board about how the company is working to improve the cable infrastructure in Hayden.
Dace Kramer with the Visiting Nurse Association will update the board about plans to build a community center.
Members of the Hayden Chamber Association will update the board about the status of the organization. The chamber has decided that it needs to reorganize and is recommending events traditionally put on by the chamber be organized by other groups.
