Tickets on sale for benefit concert with Marcovicci

Tickets are now on sale for a benefit concert featuring cabaret singer Andrea Marcovicci performing "If I Were A Bell: The songs of Frank Loesser."

The concert is at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Strings in the Mountains Music Festival Tent. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by calling 879-7125. Proceeds benefit Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp.

Youth hockey association seeks coaches for season

The Steamboat Springs Youth Hockey Association is looking for coaches and assistant coaches for the 2005-06 sesason. SSYHA needs people who would be positive influences and role models, are excited to spend time teaching hockey skills to children and are willing to commit to coaching from October through March. Ranch horse clinic is Friday at fairgrounds

A ranch horse clinic with Don Ulmer is Friday at the Routt County Fairgrounds, the day before the Routt County Fair ranch horse competition. The cost is $45. Register by calling Marianne Sasak at 879-5214.

Historic home designations due to Commissioners Office

Applications for designation to the Routt County Register of Historic Properties are due Friday to the Routt County Commissioners Office, second floor of the Courthouse Annex. Call Dee Bolton at 879-0108 for applications or with questions.

Bereavement education and support group meets

"Mending A Broken Heart," a bereavement education and support group sponsored by Hospice and the Visiting Nurse Association, resumes meetings. The group will meet from noon to 1 p.m. Thursdays through Sept. 1. Anyone grieving the death of a loved one is encouraged to attend. The meetings will take place at the offices of the VNA. Chamber seeking event information for calendar

The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is asking for event information to be included in the winter calendar of events. The calendar includes events for November 2005 through April 2006. Information submitted will be available on both Chamber Web sites, the Winter Visitor's Guide, in publications providing visitor information about Steamboat Springs, in various community maps, in news media publications, in news releases and mail throughout the summer. The deadline for submitting information for the Visitor's Guide calendar is Aug. 26. Visit or call 879-0882.
