1:59 a.m. A man was arrested after being stopped by officers for a traffic violation at the intersection of U.S. Highway 40 and Midvalley Drive.

4:58 a.m. Officers and deputies assisted with a dead elk found on U.S. 40 near mile marker 125.

7:21 a.m. An unlocked Jeep Cherokee was broken into in the 200 block of Missouri Avenue. About $800 worth of construction tools and compact discs were stolen.

9:51 a.m. A woman complained about a white truck repeatedly parking all day in a two-hour parking spot in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers left a message that they would issue a ticket if the owner did not move the truck.

5:16 p.m. A 12-year-old boy reportedly was trying to take down a two-hour-only parking sign at the intersection of Fourth Street and Lincoln Avenue. The juvenile was gone when officers arrived, and the officers securely bolted down the sign.

5:36 p.m. Two hundred and fifty compact discs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in an alley off the 400 block of Seventh Street.

5:40 p.m. A woman reported being harassed by a man who came to her office in the 600 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The two had a previous disagreement about how much the woman needed to pay the man for damage to his car from a traffic accident.
