snow sculpture sponsors
The Downtown Business Association is seeking sponsors for the annual Winter Carnival snow sculptures, to be built by Steamboat Springs and Christian Heritage high school students. Three snow sculpture judges also are needed. Sponsorships are $50 and sponsors also are asked to provide hot chocolate for the sculptors while they build. Snow will arrive on Feb. 4 and sculptures will be built and judged on Feb. 5. Call 870-6778.
Annual adaptive ski
program seeks volunteers
Horizons Specialized Services needs volunteers for its annual adaptive ski program.
Volunteers will assist Horizons clients with skiing and snowboarding on Saturday afternoons during February and March.
Volunteers do not need a Steamboat Ski Pass to participate.

Library introduces program for babies, their parents
Bud Werner Memorial Library welcomes parents and babies 20 months and younger to "Babytime," a new program starting Jan. 31.
Babytime can enhances a baby's language skills through rhymes, Mother Goose and simple books. This drop-in program is free, and no registration is required. Babytime for pre-walkers is from 10 to 10:30 a.m.; Babytime for walkers is from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Saturdays. Call 879-0240.
Performing arts school enrolling for summer
Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp is enrolling students for its summer programs in dance, theater, musical theater, dramatic writing and horseback riding.
