ROUTT COUNTY SPOTLIGHT

Brock Webster

Age: 30

Occupation: Owner, Orange Peel Bicycle Service

Place of birth: Iowa City, Iowa

Q. When did you move to Routt County and what brought you here?

A. In 1995; it seemed like a good place to continue the slacker lifestlyle I'd developed a knack for during "college" in Fort Collins.

Q. What are the best and least favorite things about living in Routt County?

A. Best: The outdoors, clean air and smoooooth singletrack. Worst: No affordable housing.

Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and why?

A. Karl Marx, Guy DeBord, Lou Reed and Frida Kahlo. I'd bet that the conversation would be interestingly deviant.

Q. Who is the most famous person you have ever met and how did you meet him or her?

A. My sister Whitney. She is the loser mom in a dueling Wisk laundry soap ad.

Q. If you had three wishes, what would they be?

A. To go back in time and hang with the Velvet Underground at Andy Warhol's, to have my rotten wrist whole again and to own a house.

Q. If you could travel to any place, where would you go and why?

A. Iceland. There's amazing hot springs, and I could try that crazy blue drink they have.

Q. What is the most rewarding part of your job?

A. Being my own boss, wearing whatever I want and listening to whatever music I want.
