CIRCUS CHIMERA COMES TO AREA

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSCircus Chimera comes to Steamboat Springs at 7:30 p.m. Monday and 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Meadows Parking Lot (on the corner of Mount Werner Road and Pine Grove Road), and to Craig for shows at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Loudy Simpson Park.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door for those 11 and older. Children 10 and under get in free.

Call 888-ONE-RING to purchase tickets. For the Steamboat show, patrons can pick up tickets at Safeway, Clark's Market, Bonfiglio Drugs, Hayden school office and Grand Futures Prevention Coalition. For the Craig show, patrons can pick up tickets at McDonald's, Jackson Office Supply and Grand Futures Prevention Coalition.

MAD CREEK BARN HIKE ON THURSDAY

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSPartners in Interpretation presents a free hike to the Forest Service's Mad Creek Barn to see the new renovations to the historic structure from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The hike continues every Thursday with varying times from now until Sept. 27, including an extra hike Sept. 15. Good hiking shoes, water and rain gear are essential. The hike is 4 miles round trip and is an easy to moderately strenuous walk. Keep posted for the weekly time changes or call 871-9151 for more information and reservations.

MADNESS DE VINE TO BE ON SEPT. 22

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSPerry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp hosts the sixth annual Madness de Vine for sponsors and other community members for a night of international food and wine and auction from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 22 at the top of the gondola.

Gondola boarding will begin at 6 p.m. Wine tastings will be from Washington, Chile and Argentina, Italy, Spain and more. Award-winning quilter David Taylor will present his Perry-Mansfield auction item "Wildflower Ballet," with bids starting at $5,000. Proceeds will benefit future growth of Perry-Mansfield. Tickets are $50 at All That Jazz, The Bottleneck, Central Park Liquor, Off the Beaten Path Bookstore and Chase Oriental Rugs. Call Perry-Mansfield at 879-7125 for more information.
