AWARDS AND HONORS
STEAMBOAT SPRINGSTracy Lucas recently attended the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar in Denver. She was selected from Steamboat Springs High School and sponsored to attend by John Mertz of the Kiwanis Club in Steamboat Springs. Lucas joined more than 150 other young leaders representing as many high schools throughout Colorado April 6-8.
"The HOBY seminar challenged me to think about he many issues affecting the world around me and helped me understand that as a leader I have the power to make a positive impact in business, government and society," said Lucas.
Ohio Northern University student Jessica Heckbert, a junior communication arts major, is a member of the company for "Carmen" presented at 7:15 p.m. April 26, 8:15 p.m. April 28 and 7:15 p.m. April 29 in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.
She is the daughter of James and Ann Heckbert.
CMC presents monologue series
Colorado Mountain College students, staff and faculty present a free dramatic presentation of monologues titled "Lost in Transition" at 7 p.m. April 30 at the Depot Art Center.
The presentation is sponsored by the CMC Speech and Drama Club.
